IDAC India is a professionally managed, Institutional Arbitration Centre offering domestic and international arbitration administration services. IDAC India is incorporated as a non-profit company under Section 8 of the Indian Companies Act, 2013. The centre administers arbitration cases as per the IDAC India Rules.
The Centre comprises of three primary organs:
the Board of Directors, the Registry and the Advisory Committee.
Board of Directors are public welfare minded persons from the legal and Chamber of commerce back ground. The Registry forms the Administrative staff of the Centre, who handle the day to day activities of the Centre. The Registry comprises of people with legal and arbitration back ground. The advisory committee headed by a Former Chief Justice of High Court and members from 10 different jurisdictions from all over the World.
IDAC’s physical facilities include two state-of-the-art arbitration rooms, three consultation rooms and two exclusive chambers for the arbitrators. Video conferencing facilities, allow the participation of lawyers, clients or witnesses from abroad. Audio-recording facilities, computer and internet access, printing, photocopying and scanning etc. are also available on-site. Other services such as secretarial and catering can be made available on request.
The Centre is founded on the principles of integrity and social accountability. We recognise that providing services for the settlement of disputes brings with it immense responsibility and we shall endeavour to bear that burden with honesty and sincerity.
